SKATEDRIVE, Santa Cruz Inspired Skate Board USB Flash Drives
I picked up this cute checkered skateboard USB flash drive at Office Max for my son to use for schoolwork. I was just hoping to get one in a cool color, I had NO IDEA they made these tech deck look alikes for flash drives, how cool is this??? It even comes with cool desktop wallpaper, skate videos, skate pictures and music on it!!!!
I've been looking forward to checking out the new 90210 show that just came out. I finally sat down this afternoon to watch it (I had it tivo'd). It was actually pretty good. Not sure if it'll be as good as the original, (I was a die-hard 90210 watcher back in the day!) but I will keep watching and see how it goes....if you watched the first episode, what did you think of it?
This is my 3rd Jodi Picoult book and I am really enjoying reading it! I should be finished with it tonight. I have quite a list of books I still want to read, I'm looking forward to winter and cozy evenings having some cocoa and curling up with a good read! If you're looking for a good book to read, my friend turned me on to this website:
It's a great site to share books you've read, want to read or are currently reading and see what books your friends are reading!
to making a quilt again. I made one last summer for my nephew Ronnie to take to the hospital when he was born (see link to my post last summer)
I really want to make a skateboarding themed quilt for my son's bedroom but can't find the fabric that some of the JoAnns was carrying last year. So until I can find some, I still am itching to start another quilt project, one that I can keep for myself. I figure Christmas is far enough out (hopefully). I picked out these fabrics to use for the quilt:
Hopefully it will not be too busy with the different patterns. I think if I mix it up and not have the santas and the tree fabric right next to each other, it should be okay. I still need to figure out what I'll use on the other side and what color to use for the binding. I'm thinking maybe black but I'll wait til I get to that point. I've got plenty of time.... Wish me luck!
can u tell what it is?????
I love buying scrapbooking, craft, home, card making, celebrity gossip magazines, etc. I LOVE buying magazines!!! I know I'm crazy. I have a serious problem. But surely, I'm not the only one am I?
I supposse my addiction could be something much worse than this. Hopefully I'll get some good inspiration for the "scrapbooking weekend I'm going to next month in Bodega Bay.
My girlfriend Peggy, myself and 2 of her friends are renting this place next month for 4 days! I cannot wait! No kids, no husbands, just scrapbooking, enjoying the beautiful views, taking some hikes around the beach, and yummy food! What more can a girl ask for! I'm hoping I can get a lot of scrapbooking accomplished but I have a feeling I will end up taking hundreds of photos while on this little mini vacation.
This weekend went by way 2 fast for me. It always does. Yesterday we got up really early in the morning and drove out to Brentwood for their 3rd annual S-K-A-T-E contest. It was Christian's first competition in the game of S-K-A-T-E. He did a competition at ELEMENT Skate camp but that was just doing lots of different tricks. This was the game of S-K-A-T-E kind of like how you play HORSE in basketball. The kid who is 1st does a trick and each kid after him has to try and land the trick. If they don't, then they get a letter (example S) each trick they don't land they get another letter (example: if you missed 3 tricks you'd have S-K-A) once you spell SKATE you're out. Christian's division had 20 kids. So they split them up into 2 groups of 10. The top 4 of each of the two groups would be combined into a new group of 8, then they'd narrow it down to the top 3 winners. He made it to 5th place in his group of 10 and then he was out so he didn't get to the final, but it was his first time and he's never skated at this skate park before plus the other kids in his group were GINORMOUS!!!! LoL! The age group for this division was 13-15 and I think the rest of the kids were like 15, some had facial hair ha ha! Anyways, it was a lot of fun to go to (aside from it being 100+ degrees outside) and we can't wait to go to another competition soon!!!!
Of course, I was out there taken tons of pics and getting video. I still can't contain myself when he lands a cool trick, I later regret when playing back my video at how DORKY and Mom-ish I sound rootin for my kid, well, you'll get the picture when you watch the video below:
Here are some pics from the event:
Here is my brother, his fiance' and my adorable nephew Ronnie - isn't my nephew cute with his little faux hawk??
Have you ever eaten at Joe's Crab Shack?????
I always love to eat there and usually get just the regular crab legs (snow crab) my coworker recommended trying it Joe's Famous BBQ style and OMG! It was sooooooooooooo yummy! I just had it on Saturday and I'm already wanting it again. I know, crazy. I even went grocery shopping tonight and bought crabs and some seasonings and had my husband "attempt" to re-create the famous bbq style seasoning. The crab legs were good, but not Joe's Crab Shack good. (sorry hubby!). Anyone had them before prepare this way and know how to make them like that? PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME!!!!! I don't think I can afford to drive to San Francisco every time I get a craving for them! LoL! That could get so expensive with the cost of gas nowadays!
